O-1B Extension Approval for Fashion Designer from India

We recently received a 3-year extension for O-1B status for a Fashion Designer who is an Indian national. Congratulations to our client!

When submitting a request for a continuation of employment with the same petitioner, you automatically get a 240-day extension on employment. In this case, the beneficiary used the same agent petitioner for his freelance work as a fashion designer, and therefore he was permitted to continue working past the expiration of his I-94 while the petition was pending. When it was approved, the approval date was backdated so that there was no lapse of O-1 status.
