Immediate Relative Petition Approval for Trinidad and Tobago National

We recently received an immediate relative petition approval for a Trinidadian filed by his US citizen daughter. Congratulations to our client!

When a family member is living abroad, the first step in the family based immigration process is to file an I-130 relative petition. Some family relationships, including like in this case parents of US citizens over 21 years of age, are called “immediate relatives” which means that there is no limit on how many visas can be issued for that category of family relationship. Upon approval of the I-130 petition, the next step is filing documents with the National Visa Center (NVC) who will then forward those on to the relevant US Consulate abroad for get in line for interviewing.
