O-1B Approval for Architectural Designer from India
We recently received an O-1B approval for an architectural designer who is an Indian national. Congratulations to our client!
Our client was completing his STEM-OPT period with full-time architectural design work at a reputable firm. The design firm’s attorneys wanted to petition for him as an O-2 essential support staff, but after my client reached out to me for a second opinion, we thought there was a good chance he met the O-1B criteria himself. We submitted an agent petition because he also had offers to speak with architecture students at area schools and wanted to be able to take on this additional freelance work and other architectural design projects that may arise in the future. The petition was approved without a request for evidence.
I have represented several architectural designers for O-1B status, all who were completing their STEM-OPT period. If you are thinking about pursuing an O-1B visa, don’t hesitate to reach out for a consultation at amir@rasoulpourlaw.com.
