Adjustment of Status from O-1B to Green Card Approved for Swedish National

We recently received a green card approval based on marriage for a Swedish national who was living in the United States in O-1B status. Congratulations to our client!

The application was approved as an adjustment of status, meaning that the applicant applied for her green card in the United States and it was adjudicated at a USCIS office. We submitted a brief letter outlining why the applicant merited a favorable exercise in discretion in having the adjustment granted rather than having to go abroad and consular process. It was approved a couple days after her interview.
