Green Card Approvals for Colombian Stepchildren of US Citizen

We recently received adjustment of status approvals for two Colombian nationals who are stepchildren of a US citizen. Congratulations to our clients.

Under the US immigration laws, a stepchild relationship is formed when a biological parent marries the stepparent prior to the child’s 18th birthday. Once this occurs, the stepchild relationship forms and a stepchild is treated the same as a biological child for immigration purposes.

I have more than a decade of experience representing binational families navigate the immigration laws. Don’t hesitate to reach out for a consultation at amir@rasoulpourlaw.com.
