O-1B Approval for Comic & Manga Artist from China
We recently received an approval for a Chinese illustrator who specializes in comic and manga art. Congratulations to our client!
Our client studied at art school in the United States and applied for O-1B status while in their grace period after their OPT expired. Their future work encompasses various gigs that will require their artistic skills, including working as a background line artist on an ongoing and established published manga series, exhibitions of their own comics and illustrations at galleries and conventions, as well as visual marketing & advertising work for an art gallery and a non-profit organization in New York City. Through a combination of this future work as well as our client’s past achievements, we were able to demonstrate that they met the regulatory requirements for O-1B status. It was approved without a request for evidence.
